I'm not surprised as most touchscreen mobiles seem to have stuck it on as an after thought in a tragic bid to keep up with the iPhone. If they'd taken their time, thought through the interface better, I think the numbers wouldn't be so high.

I've deliberated avoided touchscreen, because unless you get an iPhone, it's crap. The possible exception being the Tocco Ultra from Samsung, which also has a capacitive screen and comes with a keypad as well.
I completely agree with the article.

Why has the "smartpohnes" been incorrectly spelt here?!?!
As for touchscreens, even the iPhone isn't brilliant. I miss the lack of tactile feedback that you get from buttons.

It probably isnt classed as a smartphone but the touchscreen on my Nokia 5800 works really well.

Maybe it's deliberate - as of this morning PC Pro hadn't changed it
