It'll never happen, but if I could guarantee my organs wouldn't be used to keep some cnut alive, I'd give it more thought

I misread that as "organ pop-out powers".

Which was intriguing.

Compulsory donation, to help others directly, doesn't bother me. I don't like the idea of cut up for medical science though.

Otherwise known as "used for practical jokes by medical students".

In Spain they have an opt-out scheme.

Almost no one dies waiting for an organ transplant and people rarely wait more than a few months for a transplant.

In England there are thousands of people waiting and hundreds die each day because they have been waiting too long.

We claim to have a good health system but things like this contradict those claims.

Great idea, especially as it has an opt out option. If you are too lazy to opt out then you have no complaint if your or someone you know organs are used for a better purpose.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
