I just have my doubts. I was speaking to someone yesterday who works with stereoscropic imagery, and she told me that in order for non-glasses screens to work, they have to be viewable from more angles than just straight ahead. She told me that screens may have to be curved in some way for this to happen.

It’s that or 3D specs of some form until Star Trek like holograms become available.

Part of me says “why bother”? It’s going to be a hell of a job to get everyone who has just bought an HD TV to fork out for a 3D one.

I only bought my current TV cos I got a PS3 cheap, otherwise I'd still have my old CRT beast... quality programming is few and far between, never mind adding to the cost of it (supposedly anyway)

It is the glasses which are the stumbling block. How many pairs do you get? What if you have a big family? What if you don't have stereoscopic vision?

As long as glasses are needed, I won't be seeing it in the cinema or on TV...
