Maybe not a good idea (depends on given parent and child), but this sort of thing so easily becomes 'games cause violence' for the lazy-minded :oops:

I was shocked over the chrimbo period, my nephew was given CoD:MW2 as a pressie. He is 9 and his mum is a primary school teacher. :roll:
I pointed out that it was an 18 rated game but the reply I got was "but its a computer game".

Even more curious is the girl in my work who'll let her son play COD but doesn't want him playing GTA :)

I guess it can come down to the themes of games for some parents...

I see that in Game all the time. Parent throws a hissy fit as the shop won't sell them the 18 rated game for the sprog they bring in with them.
