If the Tories did start with spending cuts then yet there would be an immediate downturn. The tax cuts that they propose ie inheritance tax will not help the economy but a few Tory patrons who ancestors drop dead during the next government. The Tories are clueless at the moment , though New labour are not much better because they are all using the same playbook, that being monetarist programs.
