I have to say, I don't think he's helped his credibility much by going to the press before he's gone to Chilcot.

Maybe not, but he's probably ensured his safety to a degree, no that it did David Kelly any good.

I think that we all know that Tony was a complete bottom kisser. It does not surprise me how much was planned prior to the war, but it does not explain how inept the logistics of equipment was during the war.
