The Wii's problem IMO is once you've played the few titles
worth playing (and Sports
comes with it 
), you realise you've bought a console that's last gen and you're pretty much stuck with the aforementioned titles. Oh, and you're gonna have to jiggle around all the time to justify what you've spent - who wants to do that after work, really?
A big part of the problem is that, same as nearly anything, once a console has sat there unplayed for two weeks or whatever, eventually going back to it is
that much harder. With the Wii's motion controls and lack of good games, that's damn near fatal. I've seen it to a lesser extent with the DS too... And the aforementioned female and older gamers almost
never stick with Wii Fit and the like
I'll be interested to see what Joe Average makes of the Wii 2 when it's released. Maybe they'll be swayed by decent graphics and not much else, but I wouldn't be so sure
