The deal is barely closed and they are moving production to Poland. They also said that plans were too far advanced to cancel now. Strange that.

sith lord mandys promises about protecting jobs wasn't worth much
so now we get a flake from Poland nearly as good as the great british sauce HP made in Belgium but not to worry we still have the financial markets and investment banks to support us, don't we …

Where's the strike? Closure of the factory has been announced for more than 10h and nothing's on fire! If they are to lose their jobs, they should make the most noise possible about it.

hehe goodyear strike the last strike I witnessed. I think the UK needs more cohesion and backing to the people who keep losing their jobs

The problem is, if you make it harder for companies to get rid of staff & jobs, they will be more reluctant to take people on - which doesn't exactly help the unemployment situation.

Cadbury has no desire to massively employ in the Uk anyway  And if they have to hire in the country they will always do it.
