Its not the first story I've read on supermarkets being dodgy little so-and-so's. Whether true or not I seem to remember something about them buying up land so rivals couldnt open a store near buy and the continual complaints from farmers and such as supermarkets put pressure on them to drive pricing down, etc (dont get me started on pumping chickens full of water and nasty maketing tricks that dress awful products up to look like homely organic stuffs).
I cant say what is true and what isnt (or right and wrong for that matter) but I dont think the supermarkets are exactly ethical and fair bodies are they. But then they are businesses driven by profits so what can you do!
