Tesco has fired the first shot in what's no doubt set to be an epic Call of Duty: Black Ops retail campaign. Today's newspapers - including the Metro and The Sun - are carrying adverts for Tesco's Black Ops pre-orders, which it'll be taking at the fairly decent price of £39.90. According to the ad, Call of Duty super fans will be able to pick up their copies of the game at midnight from Tesco stores (we've been doing this for years from their 24-hour shops). The £39.90 price will come as reassuring news to those pooing their pants over Activision's £55 RRP for Black Ops - as if we were ever going to have to pay that much. Let us know in the comments if you see any other decent Black Ops deals. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=272108Fcuk, don't do me any favours

Anyone see this in the comments on that page? You should add that to your Bargains thread Ernie.

Can't really be bothered with Black Ops tbh. Rather burned out on modern military FPS games. Got several games on the 'must play at some point' stack as well. Really should play Assassin's Creed II before Brotherhood comes out for example.
Good spot though ernie, well done.

Trade in Medal of Honor, get Black Ops for £7.99HMV's set to offer a pretty attractive trade in deal for Medal of Honor owners ready to move on to the next big FPS, Call of Duty: Black Ops. Trade in EA's shooter and the retailer will knock £47 off Black Ops' £54.99 RRP, allowing you to pick up the game for just £7.99, according to MCV. Covering both the PS3 and 360 versions of Medal of Honor, the deal's due to run from Black Ops' November 9 launch until November 15. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=273490HMV are on to a winner there...

Yes but £55 for a christmas present! Okay parents for their kids, but well outside the normal price range for most Christmas gifts. I would imagine that most spend £10 to £20 at most on other presents, apart from very close family or partners.

Sainsbury's and Morrisons to sell Black Ops for £25?It's being rumoured that Sainsbury's and Morrisons will sell Call of Duty: Black Ops for just £25 at launch. That's according to MCV, which also reports that GAME will offer the title for £24.99 if bought with any other in-store chart game on Xbox 360 or PS3. Trade in Halo: Reach, Dead Rising 2, F1 2010 or FIFA 11 and you'll get it for the same price too. Meanwhile, Gamestation will give an extra £5 of store credit to punters who trade in two titles against a Black Ops purchase, and will also offer the game for £20 when bought with an Xbox 360 4GB console. The deals are set to run until November 14, MCV says. "We've got more games, and specifically more copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops, than anyone else and we're also offering the biggest range of deals offering fantastic value," said GAME and Gamestation trading director Adam Davis. GAME is opening hundreds of stores at midnight on Monday to sell the title as early as possible. Alternatively, you might want to trade in Medal of Honor and pick up Black Ops for just £7.99 at HMV. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=273838Now that's a bit more realistic, price-wise

Are YOU playing Black Ops early?British Call of Duty fans are spending the tail-end of this weekend playing monster FPS Call Of Duty: Black Ops early - as reports of broken street dates trickle in. Several independent retailers in London have confirmed to CVG that they're selling the FPS ahead of the official Tuesday street date - forum users also having claimed to have purchased legit copies. It's hardly a surprise with such a huge release - especially one with such tight security from its publisher. But what we'd like to know is... are any of you lot blasting away on an early retail copy? If you've managed to get your favourite indie shop - or indeed a High Street brand - to sell you Black Ops early e-mail us a picture of your receipt and we'll give you a nod. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=274178What's the 'legality' of that? I'd expect the distributors could cut the stores off if they wanted? Not that I expect any of this done them any harm, probably the opposite...

CoD: Black Ops just £4.97 at AsdaAsda runs cheapest trade-in deal yet If you're still shopping around for a cheap copy of Call of Duty: Black ops, you might want to nip to Asda. According to CheapAssGamer (via MCV), it's offering the best trade-in deal yet, practically giving away Activision's new game for £4.97 when you trade in either Fable 3, Fallout New Vegas, or Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2. That's 50 quid off for a trade-in. Win. This undercuts HMV's previously cheapest price of £7.99 when traded for Medal of Honor. If you're not into trade-ins though, Game's running deals to get it for £24.99, and Gamestation's flogging it for 20 when bought with an Xbox 360 4GB console. Click through the links above for even more deals. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=274255
