Why has Shadow Home Secretary got a Reigstered Trade Mark symbol (®) after it?

changed my lord and master.
Back OT. I wonder how much the poison pills, that Labour are going to insert, are going to cost us the taxpayer for a system nobody wants.

i believe the warning letter to business in regard to this matter is good business practice so the companies involved don't invest heavily when it may very well be cancelled
as it would seem that the labour party are headed for greatest election humiliation in parliamentary history …

As someone who has to work for a living and can't live off daddy's trust fund, I don't relish another spell under the tories. The tories haven't changed since we voted them out last time and I can't think of a worse party to take over under a recession. We'll all be back to horse & buggy before you know it.

I remember the last Tory run recession. At least last time you could spit the word “Thatcher” and get some venom out. “Carmeron” just doesn’t have the same effect.

At least they know of something called "prudence" when it comes to managing public finances - why do you think they're the most popular party in local government? The Tories can't do any worse than Labour, and I'd rather live under a Tory government than a Labour one any day - the latter tax working people to death.

Agreed, although I still don't believe them when they say as soon as they are elected.

That's their problem - far too much prudence resulted in decades of underinvestment in health and education and we're still trying to recover from it.

Still trying to recover from it? If the government borrows much more we'll be bankrupt!

the local con's in my area are so prudent that we have had no street lighting for 3 years and no road repairs for 5 years …

Count yourself lucky. Despite being (one of the) the poorest regions in England Cornwall is a net contributor to the Treasury and our Council gets far below the national average funding from central government (per head of population).

I'm not a tory supporter, but my local council is tory. My friend reported a faulty street light on-line and within a week it had been fixed. I'm not sure the street lamp department is particularly bothered by who's in power, or do you mean the torys actually switched them all off?? If so, that's balmy.
