The British news media seem to be collectively wetting themselves over it but do you actually care who gets the job? Do you think it will make any difference to life in the UK?

It's important as far as world news goes, but the level of coverage it has received is ludicrous.

PIE!

I don't care about the media coverage. It is, though rigged and biased in so many ways, an important news story so I can understand there should be some coverage of it.

Quite why we're being treated to live coverage of school gymnasia in small towns across the USA beats me. Tell me about it when it's over, and we know who "won".

My prediction- Hillary Clinton for the win in 2016.
I might even put a bet on that.

I had a passing glance at it but this wall to wall coverage on both BBC and Sky is just silly.

Had breakfast this morning watching Al Jezeera - much more interesting news from around the world.

PS> Hope Obama wins - that other guy will probably drag America into a war with Iran.

Never assume conspiracy where incompetence is an explanation!

In 99% of cases you are totally right. But with the exception of myself I doubt that there are many incompetents in these forums.

Surprisingly, I do care.

I'm stunned by how much support the Romney/Ryan camp has, despite not actually coughing up any facts about how they intend to pay for all the changes they plan to make. Obama's first term has been overcome by events, somewhat, but I don't see him actually making matters worse with another four years.

The prospect of Romney as POTUS make me feel a little uneasy.

Didn't you hear the debate? He clearly said it's a "five step plan". That cleared it up for me.

:P

Seriously though, I thought exactly the same thing.

I have everything crossed that Roomney doesn't get it.

When you consider how disruptive the Congress has been. He has handled the events thrown at him very well. If Romney is elected I wonder if we will be referring to him as the worst president ever in four years time? His plans are unworkable but then the GOP plan is to get so many people to vote against their own interests. The rich will get those tax cuts that they paid for and the economy will not improve.
