Hardly surprising. Touch screens suck for typing.

I do not mind having to type with the on screen keyboard. It is just another device to worry about. While it would make sense for many who do a lot of typing on their tablets but I suspect that most users do not need a keyboard.

I've certainly gone back to my laptop... my tablet is basically just used for comics now.

And my phone has buttons since I mostly text. Also, entering details into websites on your phone isn't much fun anyway, never mind realising you've made a mistake with the crappy virtual keyboard and having to go back.

I never really use my iPad for typing. I edit recipes on my iMac and just read them on the iPad. The majority of my typing on the iPad is on Tapatalk. I use my iPad for reading playing games and watching TV or listening to music or podcasts.

As for the iPhone the amount of typing I do is very minimal. I use apps much more and with a few simple button presses I get what I want without typing.

The problem I have is a lot of the sites I use don't have apps, and I'm not sure I'd want any more clogging up my phone anyway. If the mobile versions of their sites actually worked properly in the first instance of course...

I've hardly touched my laptop since I got my Nexus. My replies are shorter as a result.

I do not do too much webby stuff on my iPad because there will be cookies and i cannot get rid of them on my iPad. I can on my computer. Apps are usually my limit, even safari is rarely opened up on my iPad if I can help it. That is doubly so for the iPhone. It is better to use for weather news and updates rather than browsing.

Settings>Safari>Advanced>Website Data

This will give you a list of sites' data on your iPad, ordered by size. You can left swipe on any to delete single entries, or there is a big red button to remove the whole damn lot.

Two evils up there is a Clear Cookies and Data button that removes the whole lot too.

Glad to help. I only stumbled across the list of data held a week or so ago.

Do many people here use a wireless keyboard with their tablet?

If I actually had the space to use and store a separate keyboard I might consider it!
