It might be that the Chuckle Brothers might not be willing to have their name linked to a sex assault case. I do not blame them.

During the 70's this happened a lot. I suspect that there are loads of cases which have not even been investigated yet.

Has anyone come forward about occurrences backstage at music events? I wonder if there are a few ageing rockers watching nervously as these cases unfold.

I am surprised more Radio One DJ's are not under investigation. The fact that the road show went all around the country and put young girls and the DJ's in close proximity meant that it could have been lot worse. Though considering many were dating models at the time I suspect that would not have been so attractive as an option.

I find it incredible that so many women can claim assault over different decades and he walks away from it. From teenagers to adults including at least one journalist and fellow broadcasters. And there was even, according to the prosecution as reported at least, video evidence of a girl being assaulted during a TOTP hosting recording. What I'm saying is, by the sound of what gets reported, I suspect I'd have said 'guilty' in many of those charges.

And yet they didn't. Conclusion?

That he's been bailed to reappear on the charges they couldn't decide on?

I'm saying you have to take each charge on it's own 'merit', but with all those allegations aimed at him from disparate women... The case would run through my head the rest of my life tbh.

In the end the allogations ended up as "I said you did , you said you didn't" with no independant witnesses and no forensic evidence

The Video evidence if it was the one shown on the TV didnt show anything except him standing next to the girl - so unless there were other angles not shown on the TV that would not have convinced me "Beyond all reasonable doubt"
