The new Super Sport managed an average speed of 267.8mph. It maxed out at 269.8mph

Does a limited edition of 5 really make it a production car? :?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

And the world's most pointless car becomes ever more pointless.
What about the Bristol Fighter eh?

Well it is a very small production run. Much of the car will be identical to the previous version, so maybe that is how they are including its production.

With so few being made probably not.

Probably be the same deal as some of the utterly lunatic cars around - they wouldn't get to thrash it, just look at it. They had the Lamborghini Reventon in at one point, that's in much the same bracket (I think they made something like a dozen of those). Looked nice in the studio but never got near the track. I suppose if if they can get Schumacher in driving the FXX, anything is possible.

Yes but the Ferarri FXX had company drivers doing the test drive even the Stig did not get to drive it. The same could happen with the Bugatti or most likely it will never get around the track.

How about this then? 2000bhp and 0-60 in 1.5 sec and a top speed of ~300mph.

Americans can't build good cars. It may do 300mph in a straight line but it'll have the turning circle of an ocean liner and torque steer like a hovercraft.

Sorry, I didn't realise we were stuck in the 70s.
Look at the Corvette Z06 and ZR1. Or the Caddy CTS-V. Or the new Camaro.

You can see elements of the Saleen S7 in there. The Saleen S7 is a lovely looking car.
