Do they work on motorbikes?

They should do. They would deflate both tyres evenly.

Think he meant one of these:

That would work but the mess would be immense.

Yeah but I would imagine the bike would become uncontrollable, and the rider probably thrown...

I'm not saying he deserved to die but surely if you're TWOCing motorbikes and escaping wearing no protective gear it's an occupational hazzard.

Hang on a sec...

I first read this very differently.

Sequence of events as far as I can tell is...

Guy steals a bike from a show room.
Police don't chase him.
Later the police arrest him (from home or whatever) and he is released on bail.
Weeks later the same guy is riding his stolen bike with no helmet.
He crashes into a van and dies.

Why has his death got anything to do with police deciding not to chase him weeks ago.

?!

Sounds like sensationalist journalism to me.

And if he's on bail, why has he still got the stolen bike?

I realised after writing that that the stolen bike he was riding wasn't one of the three bikes he had stolen earlier. This was another bike he had stolen whilst on bail.

I guess it's karma, then. Or he is up for the Darwin awards.

I am sure that with his lifestyle it would only be a matter of time.
