Hmmm…

Vatican sources said Cardinal Kasper was suffering from gout and had been advised by his doctors not to travel to the UK.

Gout brings to mind the life of over privileged excess, rich diet, little exercise as practiced in Regency times. You’d hardly expect someone who has taken an oath of poverty to be so afflicted. Yet here we are.

he is totally and absolutely wrong
we are the leading 2nd world country on the planet

nothing 3rd world about us at all ...

What he said was "arriving at Heathrow airport was like landing in a "Third World" country."

He could be talking about the nightmare that is Heathrow airport. Which is a horrible place.

Actually apart from Richard Dawkins every atheist I know is nothing like that. I have never been approached with the intention of converting to atheism, yet I have been approach a lot more times to become a Christian.

You do have people who will batter religious people with the idiocy of religion much like Dawkins. Now it is sheer arrogance to tell someone that you know better and religion is for fools because aside from berating what is an improbable belief system people have got to leave people to their own belief systems.
