if and i mean if PR ever arrived
i would like to see that any partner within a PR Govt. who decided to leave that Govt. that their vote(s) remain with the Govt.
leave by all means but you are in the wilderness until the next election

this could/would mean a, possible, minority Govt. that can still function as a Govt. without the need of constant reelections until the full term of the given Govt. is up and holds elections after a/the set term of Govt. ...

The big issue with that is that the electorate only ever vote for who they want to be their local MP.
If you took that MP's vote away from him in parliament, you've effectively removed their representation.
On a constitutional level, it would never be allowed.

That’s the theory. I think most people just vote for who they’d like to see a president these days. IF that means voting for your local MP of that party, then that’s how it’s going to be.

As long as you still have representation it could be workable. Don't know how though, as I've not given it any thought.

Most people I know think that you vote for Prime Minister.

Personally I'd like to see MPs elected in pools and elected by STV.
