"Doom Bar" I am quite fond of, they sell it in a pub back home sometimes. Tribute I'm not so keen on

Same here. Doom Bar is very popular in our local. Tribute always tastes like the pipes are furry, even in the same pub. I think it's just a slightly musty brew, and not entirely to my taste.

Personally, I like a cold lager beer. My perfect lager should taste like iced soda water

I was going to suggest 'why not just drink iced soda water then?' until I realised in most pubs a pint of that would probably cost you more than a pint of lager.

By the same token if you ever get to try "Doom Bar" or "Tribute" (both from Cornwall) I heartily recommend them.

I prefer Proper Job or Badger if I can get them. And I'd sell a limb for a local pub to stock Exmoor Beast.

However Tribute's lovely.

I'm a sucker for Innis & Gunn's wonderful range of beer.
