I'm not really sure what you are saying. But I was just referring to the fact that Will Self goes on about class a lot, if you read much of his output, you will notice this too. It seems like a quaint and dated obsession.

A bit like the way Amnesia10 can crowbar mortgages into every thread.

Maybe he forgot he mentioned it in another thread

I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with food but I do enjoy cooking. It's challenging at times, tastes great (hopefully) and is a fair bit healthier than boshing some fish fingers and fries in the oven. It is sad that some can barely afford the fish fingers (and to be frank my food budget has reduced considerably) but does that mean I cannot cook a nice meal without linking it to having aspirations of being a middle-class wannabe foodie?

I notice in the TV schedules for this evening "Hairy Dieters: How to Love Food and Lose Weight".

I know it's a repeat, but I think my irony meter just exploded.
