Meh, a royal popping out a baby is only interesting when we don't know who the daddy is. And even then it's hard to really be bothered.

However, while none of us cares much what fall out of the royal baby bucket, we are all keen pedants. So I must point out that disinterested parties are those with no interest to declare in a dispute or contest. Uninterested parties are those who may or may not know this, but don't really care.

I agree wholeheartedly. One of the BBC news reporters actually thought it was worth tweeting the fact that when they left hospital they were planning to go home. Really. He thought that was important enough information to go out of his way to mention.

Well 70% of new parents rush off to the cinema and then Nando's with their baby on leaving the hospital! /s

GIven that a lot of the BBC’s output was of the hospital door (which firmly was closed) or they were talking to people who had never met them, but had somewhere along the line written a book about a royal family member and therefore was deemed authoritative enough to comment, I am not surprised Even Newsnight fell into the trap. I just wonder what news was buried quietly that day.

It'll probably be their biggest seller in years either way.

Hopefully this will all be over soon, and we can get back to real life soon.
