Windows 10 is doing exactly what I said it would be, when Windows 8 was in Beta.
I said that it was exactly like Windows 1.0, where you couldn't overlap windows, you could only have them full screen or tiled. MS had to rush Windows 1 out the door, so that they wouldn't be trampled by Mac System and GEM. That gave them the time to then refine it into a usable system.
Modern Windows seems to be the same thing, and I said that it would gradually get windowing capabilities. They needed to get the tablet functionality out the door, or they would have been completely dead in the tablet market. Now they are showing how it will be the replacement for all legacy software over time.
To be honest 8 was a good step forward over Windows 7 and I wouldn't go back of you paid me.

OK, so I have now uninstalled Windows 7 and installed Windows 10 as my main OS. I'm currently installing my apps, but so far I am very happy with this software.
I just hope that they don't screw it up between now and the final release.

http://www.techradar.com/news/software/ ... gs-1268315If you thought the 'IoT' sounded unsecure before, just wait until MS gets a look in. You'll be locked out of your house by some Russian teenager demanding bitcoins by the time they're done...
