A president would only be ok if democratically elected, and that's never going to happen, so there's little difference between one and a monarch.

That said I'd rather have a president than some jumped up rich retards who think they are better than everyone else because their father is also their brother and their mother is their sister and somewhere in their recent genealogy is a horse or two.

While the Royals are obviously influenced by politicians, at least they aren't completely - a 'president' would almost certainly just be a rep for whoever was in political power.

As with most things, I don't care who they are, so long as they do the best job possible in the situation :)
