Why are you targeting this particular person on their language alone ? I read (just this morning) at least 7 or 8 other people using profanity (in fact myself also) and some were using 4 letter words simply replacing the I with a 1, and I can list them if you like...

His is a particuarly bad case, though, and you'll struggle to find a post that wouldn't have been censored had he not used spaces.

Ok, but what I mean is anyone new (for instance like me) would wonder why he is being pulled up when there other people (evidently people who have ben using this site a while, effing and blinding like troopers), its readily apparent in posts, particularly in the meeting place. I suppose though if there is a swear filter, it should be respected and not be bypassed deliberatly like the users of es ache 1 tee.

There is a swear filter, although we let a lot of stuff through. Putting spaces between the F & C words so they show up will get the message edited.

There is a forum, that if you swear, a donate via paypal popup comes up. Like a virtual swearbox. Although paypal makes most people swear anyway.

Precisely. If people allow their posts to be censorred, then users who have no objection to the profanity can turn off the censorring within their own account settings if they so desire. The filter's not perfect (Scun-thorpe being an example of a false-postitive) but it's pretty good, and makes it a more pleasent place to browse.

*Sigh*

Through mass vaccination. That would be 'mass' vaccination.

The H1N1 vaccination programme was only ever a partial one, the only thing that that ever does is produce a virus that mutates and becomes more dangerous.

Kids don't need vaccinations. They need proper food, exercise and sunshine. We have an immune system for a reason. Constantly filling our bodies with crap ruins it and the vaccine was just another thing full of crap.

I think you're getting vaccines and the anti-virals such as Relenza mixed up. I don't know of any cases of immunity arising to vaccines.

Vaccinations that have been around for scores of years and are now part of our "mass" program, are completely different to, "So this stuff I've whipped up in a lab over the last few months that we know virtually nothing about......... Fancy getting poked by a needle full of it?" There are certain immunization programs which have made a positive impact and our bodies are used to and know how to deal with. Deciding to scare the public with the word epidemic and then getting big pharma to hastily whip something up, not test it and inject a few randoms with it, is completely different. Not to mention the last time they did it in the States, people died.

Seasonal flu vaccines are produced something like:
* Health authorities figure out which flu variants are likely to pose the most danger
* Samples of said flu strains are passed onto vaccine companies
* Companies create a vaccine
* Companies test each vaccine
* Health authorities give the nod for each vaccine if OK
* Companies produce millions of doses

The same thing happened for the Swine Flu vaccines. As you can see there is a very narrow window in between virus identification and millions of vaccines being made which is why the clinical trials are much shorter and check initially for the body's immune response rather than disease rates.

Your body encounters loads of antigens all the time that it has never seen before and mount an immune response. The same is true with the artificial antigens in vaccines.

That was over 30 years ago and hasn't happened since.

And in the USA granted immunity from litigation should side effects appear. All makes for confidence in the substance.

Oh come on, not only is this ruining the flow of (some of) my posts, but the word s**t is allowable in PG rated films.

I accept the f & c word area bit extreme (for daily mail reading pussies) so I'll refrain from using them (until this all blows over meh heh heh heh).

Seriously though WTF, how about banning people that put +1 to someone else's comment, that adds nothing to a debate or discussion and serves only to increase lazy/stupid peoples post counts and makes reading threads harder than necessary.

Anyway back on topic, I was totally cynical about the whole swine flu thing from the beginning, it just seemed like a total scam.

The really disturbing thing is how the media was all over it and refused to let it go, even when it was obvious that people weren't getting infected.

I thought that was given because of the vaccines having a shorter than normal testing phase due to the perceived urgency in getting people vaccinated.
