A lot of the time it’s the only logical way for people to justify stupid things. I’m not condoning that behaviour, but it is the most facile and lazy way to explain away things.

Following a stupid ass religion that does what the vast majority of religions do, teach people to not accept others beliefs on the basis their views are superior and anyone who does not accept it, or join your religion must be punished.

Like Paul says, sometimes this is just a way for people to justify or deal with things. I just don't think we should put people down for following a religion of their choice providing, of course, that they don't press the issue on other people.

I can see what you're saying here, with people not accepting others beliefs and views but providing that it doesn't affect that group or anyone else then why not let them get on with it.
