Using a keyboard when a mouse would be the preferred interaction.

Captain M Scott, formerly of the USS Enterprise demonstrated how not to use a mouse.

He also then went on to crack his fingers in preparation for typing as though it was a thing of the past, and yet the workstation controls in later series required a lot manual input.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

After cracking his fingers, and making out as if he was going to pick and peck at the keyboard, he then proceeds to type like billy-o.

(STIV was on FilmFour this past week...)

The best image enhancement one has to be from Enemy of the State.

They somehow managed to take a 2D image from a fuzzy low res CCTV camera and turn it into a high definition video feed. Then they paused it and rotated the image through 180 degrees to get a better look at the hidden side of a shopping bag that someone was carrying!

Incredible!

Then there's one that was taking the mick and managed to pick up a reflection of a car in a shop window and there was a woman sitting in the car wearing sunglasses so they bounced the reflection off there into a phone booth and managed to enhance the image of the reflection in the phone booth to find their suspect :D

I'd prefer it if Hollywood stuck to the history books rather than making the history books up as they go along.

The Red Dwarf finale series that Dave made last year spoofed just this, as part of the overall Blade Runner plot homage. It was very well done, bouncing a reflection off a raindrop on a street lamp across the street.

That might have been it. I knew it was a comedy show/film but I couldn't remember which one.

Of that specific ship sure. But then paulzolo did say formerly of the USS Enterprise.

Personally I agreed with the Klingons, it should have been hauled away as garbage. ;)

Trials and Tribble-ations. Not a bad episode as DS9 goes.
