Or....and I might be crazy here, they could let Courts decide whether a person is guilty or not guilty, and perhaps even when found guilty the court could decide an appropriate sentence based on the facts of the case! Rather than letting politicians set mandatory sentences! It was the people of this country who demanded mandatory sentences on knives - untie the hands of the judiciary!

I think the older they are the more wary you have to be, many of the old people you see may have killed in the war, they know the taste of blood. ;) :D
