Because life continues during war, otherwise there's no point in fighting in the first place... Get a grip.

i have a grip, its called reality, which seems to be in a galaxy far far away from here
but rest assured i will remain around just to pi$$ a few off, it would and does make my day …

Hehe I found you rather funny.
You're the one who brings War in a Comic themed thread and you have reality? Do you know even soldiers write comics and poetry? Because live goes on during war, otherwise there's no point in fighting.
I'll invite you to come visit my home in the Somme Battlefields, and look at some art produced by these soldiers, most of them British. Oh wait... It's a waste of time isn't it?

Indeed there is. Though most men were doing compulsory work in Poland and Germany, like most of my family, so be respectuous. Go to any British Library, and you'll find British poets (Heck, see Tolkien if you want) and maybe understand why if war stops the creative output of a country, then that country has lost the war.

Ahah you won't get me annoyed with your prejudices, they are just rude and show a very small mind. And i'm talking to you about British soldiers, not French. I guess people as down to earth as you don't value art as being useful anyway...

PS: I'd never consider you as my mate as my mates know respect of those who fought to defend them. I think you are a very sad man...

No I just felt that I needed to clarify that, as you seem to like order and do not enjoy time wasters.
So why are you on a forum anyway? Couldn't you be helping the boys win the war? or raise money for the Poppy appeal?

History shouldn't be changed. Books shouldn't be edited to be PC. Ideals change for the better hopefully, but pretending that something didn't happen is like being a holocaust denier.
