I did prefer Return of the Jedi to the Empire, but that's purely for the space battle near the end of the film.
What about Die Hard 2? Isn't that a cracking sequel?
I haven't clicked the link in the O.P. yet, so it may well have been mentioned.

The only good ones I can think of are:
The Empire Strikes Back

I would not consider the LOTR as sequels. I would have thought that considering that they were all made at the same time or contiguously that they could be considered a single film broken up into three parts like Kill Bill was one film in two parts. The Fly 2 was a good sequel as well. Then the Bourne films were good sequels. _________________Do concentrate, 007... "You are gifted. A good sequel that springs to mind for me is Back to the Future. The second one was just as good IMO as the first.
