They need to change the laws on "blame and claim" so there's less of it.
We're heading down that horrible American road where everyone sues eachother for compo and only the lawyers are making any real money out of it while the rest of us pay higher insurance premiums etc.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I'd like the speed limits adjusted. Maybe a 'muscle car only' lane?

There was an episode of "Sliders" with a reality like that.

Anyone remember that...?

I was thinking of the examples of the Cheese Rolling that was stopped because of health and safety issues. What about signing a disclaimer to enter. It is a risk but that is why people enter.

I thought it was stopped this year because of the number of people who were to turn up to spectate, not because of the people chasing the cheese.

Yes but even spectators know that there is a risk and as such should not be able to sue. It could be very wet and the hills caked with mud, that will bring them down very fast.

I had also thought that they could repeal the law that allowed banks to get into residential mortgages and investment banking. Repealing that would be very good.

Yeah, all small events these days are ruined by the need for public liability insurance.
I know a few that no longer happen because of it.

It makes you wonder. The liberals have been out of power for around a century and the Tories for 13 years and they have no idea what laws are bad?

They've already decided what's going to be included Amnesia - they're just making us think they are listening to our suggestions.

Just because it's predetermined does not mean no one is listening.

Our suggestions might be important when it comes to judging the spin.

So forumites are coming to the conclusion that this is just spin? Sorry state of affairs, when they were in opposition they moaned about the spin but they are doing it themselves.
