I think I generally agree with Zippy. And, getting in the face of a PC like that is just stupid.

With all the lead up, sex, and size aside. When the officer used his baton he incapacitated a perceived threat, aiming for the legs. That sounds to me like a measured response even if he did strike her twice.

Which I'm still curious about...

Presumably she's one of those people who has an 'alternative' lifestyle and goes on a lot of protests. Juries tend to not like people whose hobby is going to protests regardless of what they are about.

That probably was it. Though it really should not be a problem in a magistrates court. We still have the right to protest.
