Xbox One video spotlights the power of the cloud

They can do most of that now! The only question is cost to the consumer...

It might make sense for single player game saves but the real beneficiary will be Microsoft who can determine what games are selling well and still maintaining customer interest. Oh and the NSA. ;)

But why have the Kinect in black?

Because it sits on the top of a TV off which I assume the majority are black?

True, though next to the white box it looks odd.

Nintendo of America president unimpressed with Xbox One, PS4 launch line-ups

He's another gaming bigwig who should have disappeared years ago.

PlayStation 4 will download remote purchases automatically

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/42 ... matically/

That would be great if I could rely on Team Moron not switching off the router in this house.

Automatic downloads can be very useful especially if games have large downloads. Though my concern is if it clashes with something else that is running on the users network. I am usually streaming TV during the day and evening so would not want it to cause that to break up. If it can be set to download within limits then that could offset many peoples issues with background loading.

PlayStation UK boss Fergal Gara said last week that the company is struggling to satisfy pre-orders, claiming that the PS4 is heading for a "sell-out situation".

Looks like they will be happy.

Anyone who thinks the bigger retailers won't cut their prices hasn't been paying attention to either the system or the market.

It will suffer as the new consoles enter the market.

Do you think that Microsoft have realised the numbers of fail boats that they have launched recently? This looks like they are finally listening to customers. Though why on earth did they ever think that this would float?
