I bet its legal aid as all you need to do is find 1 person who is living there who is on benifits and use them as a front "man/woman"

Travellers refused leave to further appealThe legal process has now officially reached it's end. I'd imagine it's going to get quite messy, starting tomorrow. Jon

So much for their earlier claims that they wouldn't resort to violence. If they assault the baliffs, I hope the CPS/courts throw the book at them.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-15347365There you go then. It’s going to be a small war in Essex. The problem is - where will the overspill go? Last time, all the large supermarket car parks in the area had extra security. Chelmsford police and farms were on alert too.

The travellers rep ( who strangely seems to no longer speak ) said that they would leave if the case went against them.
doesn't seem to be happening. Funny that.

OK, so they've locked themselves into a confined space. All of them. Together. Drop a bomb on them and carry on. Nothing to see here.

It will be interesting to see how this all goes. Chances are all the site’s access points have been blocked. The bailiffs have to attempt entry. I don’t know the legalities, but by now there must be a number of reasons to involve the police in getting access - they keep saying on the TV that criminal law is being broken, so that must be cause for their involvement.

TIALD Thermal imaging and laser designation. Once Tornado and a 1000lb bomb and the job's done.

Judge Dredd would never take such nonsense. He’d have cleared the site by now. Most of the travellers would be in ISO Cubes.
Anyway, it’s all kicked off this morning with riot police gaining access to the site.

Heard it on the radio this morning - the reporter was interviewing one of the residents, and asked her why she was walking around with a bowl of petrol in her hands. She said, she hadn't decided what she was going to do with it yet. Nice. To me, she's thinking of either torching a barricade or mixing a few molotovs for the police.

They seemed to have set fire to one of their caravans. That’s helpful to the cause. The police seem to be wanting to remove protestors from a tower over the main entrance.

IMO this is what sucks about our laws. They're attacking the police, but the police can't be violent back without risking being charged and imprisioned. No doubt they'll only get a slap on the wrist. I think they should just taser them until they come down or pass out.

The best approach IMO would be to siege them.
Set up camp around the entire site and sit it out. CUt off the power and water. Stop anything from moving into or out of the site.
Eventually they will have to come out.
What I can't understand is why the "travellers" on the news are saying things like...
"This country is disgusting in its attitude towards travellers." etc...
This is nothing to do with travellers, this is to do with a load of people breaking the law.
Are they saying that travellers should be above the law?

Possibly you could cut off power. I believe it is actually illegal to cut the water supply to a property in which people are living, illegally or not. Jon
