And if you've read the latest Private Eye you'll know why, the "passenger satisfaction" surveys don't give any opportunity to rate the overall level of service, but only the specific train you're on, and the station you boarded at, not to mention all the questions are worded in such a way as to make it incredibly difficult to give a negative answer. I wonder how they question those whose trains were cancelled... |

Part of the problem is that the peak times in London aren't the same as the peak times where I work. If you take peak times to mean when the train is mostly being used, the station where I work is busiest in the summer between around 10:00-14:00 and again at around 17:00-18:00. I would imagine London peak times are something like 6:00-9:00 and 16:00-18:00 and like that pretty much all year round... Back home I guess the peak time would be 6am and 10pm, but then again that's the only time a train comes through our stop... I mostly agree though, there should be some standard being followed. |
