How stupid have you got to be to mistake a massive warship like that for a merchant vessel?

To be fair, it doesn't look quite as warship-like as, say, HMS Chatham (which is also a much scarier prospect):

It's good that they're starting to capture and charge these pirates.
They've let them all off the hook for far too long. There's been no deterant at all.

Didn't a load of pirates come to grief last year when they refused to surrender to an Indian Navy warship?
Suicide bombers aside, how mad do you have to be to think an inflatable is going to be able to do much against a full up destroyer?
