Older people remember what they said but not who they said it to http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/elder ... it-to.htmlThe mental spring cleaning gets rid of so much detail normally.

LOL, half of my conversations start with "Was it you I was talking to about...?"
The other half start with "What was I doing? Where am I? Who am I anyway..?"

Part of the problem is the second you try to remember something, your brain immediately has that doubt that you might not be able to, or at least correctly I'd say that's part of the problem and that it only gets worse with age.

TBH who they said it to is not always relevant. What they said is important and can be repeated if necessary, even to the same person.

My main issue is remember words, I know what I want to say, but can't recall the word for it. I usually end up explaining it begins with a 'p' or an 'h' and inevitably after explaining what I'm trying to say someone tells me the word I was looking for and it begins with an 'm' or something....

I was trying to remember the word "Manifold" around about April. I just remembered it last night
