Given what was discussed in the “death” thread in TMP, I thought this may be of interest.

It's be long suggested that one possible cause could be the result of a mutated virus, such as glandular fever, that gets triggered at some point further down the line and leaves your body constantly fighting off a virus.

The immune system is therefore constantly on the go and buggers you up completely, hence why some doctors offer immunoglobulin injections to try and level up the playing field.

One neuroscientist who suffered from ME also suggests replenishing yourself with long chain fatty acids in the form of EPA to try and combat the brain fugue that often comes along as exhaustions friend.

Truth is there's no money in it, that's why there's not a huge amount of research.

Thankfully though, like what happened with MS, the view within the medical profession is finally turning towards a physiological rather than psychological explanation.
