Roger Godsiff has tabled a Commons motion calling for an "urgent review" of security funding for ex-PMs who make money from "commercial activities".

He cancelled a book signing in London this week, amid planned anti-Iraq war protests.

I think it's right that a basic level of security is offered - but I agree that that shouldn't extend to commercial stuff.

Charity appearances would be a bit of a grey area, and seeing as he is donating the profits from the book to charity the book signing would have been a tough one.

You could also argue that those soldiers wouldn't have got injured if it were not for Blair...

The profits from his book are going to the Royal British Legion, to rehabilitate the very soldiers who are only injured because of Blair.

I have no problems about paying for it while here, but if they want to go abroad then we should not have to pay millions for coppers to fly first class around the world so he can make money. Also if there were a cap on the sums involved then it might make PMs more circumspect about the decisions that they make.
