So a £1 million a year, hardly worth it. I got the letter no card but I can see the point but is it really going to help?
And that will protect who?
No need to leave data on trains. Just sell it on eBay! ![]() |

I think it's a step in the right direction, but I hope this isn't some facade and they'll spend extra elsewhere... |

The issue with CRB checks can end up being a bit ridiculous. On average, a junior doctor will fill 2-3 CRB forms per year. The enchanced check is £36. There are, according to one source, around 50,000 junior doctors in the UK. Not a huge amount of savings compared to the billions that need to be cut but I guess "every little helps". |

LOL, I haven't seen mine in years. No idea where it is. I still remember my NI number though which is quite random as I haven't thought about it for at least 2 and a half years and that was when I filled in my details for my current job. |

Yes but the NHS are protected from the cuts, though it looks like the NHS are making the cuts anyway because they know that they will come eventually. |

Which seems ridiculous. I filled in a CRB form for my other half’s school as I occasionally do things there. The problem is that CRB form covers just that school, not the LEA, nor the country. The head teacher, who visits other schools, has to get a CRB for each school he visits. That’s a lot of duplicate paperwork. I guess doctors are also limited in this way - a CRB for a hospital or even a department within a hospital. |

But we must Think Of The Children! Just because he's shown school A he's not a baby murdering loon doesn't mean he won't be by the time he gets to school B. |

So where is this joined up thinking that was supposed to be brought in by Tony. I doubt that the coalition will be any better. |

That will be a certainty at some schools. |
