For a man that has continually shown a total disregard for the safety of other road users, as well as himself, then prison is the best place for him. It's a miracle the cretin hasn't killed someone before now. It's just a shame that it wasn't for longer.

He will be out in 4 weeks. Though after listening to the news and it mentioned that he was also on tranquillisers, which I suspect was the real reason for the crash. I have to agree that prison is probably the only solution for him. There was a clip on Fifth gear with people on cannabis and if anything they slowed down because of the drug. So probably a lot safer than alcohol, but tranquillisers are a definite stupid thing to drive under the influence.
