It will be brilliant for specialist encoder plugins. Though I doubt that the studios will like it. Making pirating videos even easier. |

LOL - it only takes 10 minutes now. Faster is good, but 10 minutes is not exactly a deal breaker! I know people who spent over a week encoding, and I heard some film releases took years! Faster is good... but I'll buy it when it has a design power under 10Watts and costs under £35, because I don't need it ![]() |

Yes but a few minutes to encode a bluray disc would be nice. ![]() |

Sounds a bit specialised. If it can't do general purpose computing as well, then I wouldn't pay extra to have it on a chip. |

It would be of interest to me. I'm currently looking at encoding all my DVDs to stick em on my media box. Seconds versus 10 minutes per movie would be a welcome boost. |

That would probably be a lot faster than the dvd drive. ![]() |

I rip it to HDD then strip out the extras and re-encode just the movie. I'd love to find an all-in-one solution that didn't completely butcher the quality or de-sync the audio. |

the numbers of films that I have where the audio is out of sync. ![]() |

Super C? It's free and lets you do most things IIRC, including adjusting the streams... Converts music too ![]() |

I've not heard of Super C. I'll look into it, thanks ernie. |

I found Super a bit hardcore overkill for what I wanted and much prefer to use Handbrake - but it might not be as powerful. |
