It must be tough being Nvidia. A few short weeks after it looked like the green team was back on track thanks to the award-winning GeForce GTX 460, a slide of Radeon HD 6000-series specifications has been leaked – and it looks likely that AMD will kick Nvidia into touch before year’s end.

Certainly looks like they are in the position to give nVidia a serious kicking.

The 6770 promises to be a cracking card for those on a budget, if they hold to the pricing model of the 5000 series. I may consider upgrading.

Problem with this is that if Nvidia moves away from desktop GPUs, you're stuck with AMD and if they decide to put prices up, there's nothing you can do. The market needs competiton, not a monopoly.

Don't worry, there are plenty of green fanboys to keep nVidia in business.

Just be nice if AMD make a pile of cash with GPUs that they can then invest in giving Intel a kicking.
