If you have a criminal record I'm not so sure you should be able to be an MP

I don't usually have much time for hippies who throw eggs at people, but on this occasion I'll make an exception. I hope all the eggs were out of date too.

That should exclude almost all labour and Tory MP's then as there behaviour in power over the last 29 years has been criminal.

I don't agree with the BNP, but this is just immature. The people spoke, and just days later the people revolt Perhaps we shouldn't have the choice to vote in who we want to run the country...

Quite right, the people are being self-governing. Who is this 'the people' anyway? I'm not one of them, they didn't speak for me. In other news: Electorate send horrified BNP leader to live and work with foreigners.

Indeed. The BNP have just as much right to exist as any other party. If people disagree with them, they should try to argue with them on the issues, or simply not vote for them. Democracy is supposed to mean everyone gets a say. Whilst democracy is flawed and broken in many ways, the guy was elected fair and square under the current system. The egg people should be charged with assault.

I completely disagree, heckling is a valid part of democracy. The BNP were only elected in two parts of England, which gives the rest of us the right to hate them.

If that's the way the system runs, I'll happily switch to being run by the monarch again. HA, they might even do a better job than the bunch of clowns we've got now!

I'm with you all the way. Makes a lot more sense than the current system. Linux, hate is the path to the dark side. If you insist on hating someone, do it in your own mind and/or feel free to discuss it, but throwing eggs at someone because you disagree with their views is wrong. FACT.

Personally, I'd have enjoyed it if the eggs had been toxic and melted the fascist's face off. I know it's wrong, but I would have enjoyed it all the same. I've often said that the ideal system is a wise, preferably omnipotent monarch or dictator. Unfortunately, history shows there are precious few of them around.

I feel perfectly justified in despising the man and his Party. After all, these idiots would see my girlfriend deported if they got in to power. And you know what, if by some freak electoral rigging the BNP ever got into power I'd be the first Briton to drop everything and move into another EU Country sharpish. Nick Griffin and the BNP are repugnant. Sure, they can hold whatever views they like, but that neither means I have to like them nor give them the time of day. And to be honest I'd feel perfectly justified in throwing an egg or two - it's nothing compared to what the French did to Louis XVI.
