Your PS3 "only does everything", according to the ads, but do you know how to get everything out of the black box? Too many of you don't, and Sony wants to change that.
PSN director Susan Panico has revealed that Sony is working on releasing a series of tutorial videos that will guide new or untrained users through all those untapped treats tucked away in that increasingly more complex and cluttered XMB menu.
The plan is to create "educational videos that will be a great welcome kit for people that are coming to the PS3 and the PlayStation Network," Panico told Joystiq. The videos "will answer questions like, 'How do I have Netflix movies stream on my PS3?' And it will certainly talk about original content available," she explains.
"That's something that's really important to us -- to make sure people understand from the get-go how to find all this great content."
She continues: "Primarily, it's going to be content that you find very easily on PlayStation.com, as well as on the console itself," although Sony's yet to decide where on the XMB the videos will go.
We wonder if there'll be a video explaining how to find these videos...
