RPI increase of what... 4.6%?
Virtually the entire country have had, at best, a pay freeze for the last two or three years.
Yet these robbing bastards want to milk us dry.

Thieving gits. The buying price is over 40% less than it was 2 years ago and yet they keep putting prices up. Thieving frakin' gits.

Not just energy companies but any large corporation. The problem is that this is all unsustainable. As disposable incomes fall the whole capitalistic system will fall. You can see why India has problems with maoists because of the problems of poverty for the majority.

I've just got my annual statement from my gas and electric supplier. I am £43 in credit and my monthly DD is dropping down to £45 p/m for both.

I lefty BG years ago. My energy bills are around £62 per month but there is probably a huge credit now.

I think my dad went with BG on a fixed-price plan. Anyone able to tell me whether this will affect him?

If he still has some time left on his deal then he should be okay. Those deals were meant to protect against such movements. Still best to check.
