A Welshman has been found guilty of the racially aggravated assault of man who "over-celebrated" an England rugby victory in a pub.

If I was hit by a Welshman over the same sort of behaviour I would not describe it as racism. Nationalism maybe but not racism.

I don't think he's racist. I think he's a thug and a prick.

Yeah, but "racist Attack" makes for a better headline than "some prick hit somebody". ;)

I'd expect this kind of crap from the Daily Fail.

Under the Race Relations Act, it is unlawful for a person to discriminate on racial grounds against another person. The Act defines racial grounds as including race, colour, nationality or ethnic or national origins.

When interviewed, Lloyd admitted he may called Mr Whitehouse an English p---- but denied assaulting him.

So at the very least he was racially harassing him.

Oh ffs.

The guy is English, so he basically called him a p----. That is not racism.

Calling a Welshman a Welsh sheep shagger, or a Scotsman a Scottish skinflint is racial stereotyping. How is naming someone's nationality, prior to issuing the insult, racist?

Bulls!t. Namby-pamby nanny state, bullsh!t.
