400,000 attempts per second. :shock:
Why on earth would a WiFi router (access point etc) even accept anywhere near that many attempts to logon a second? Surely a security feature limiting the hardware to, say, ten attempts a second would prevent this.

The router isn't "accepting" anything.

You capture some packets of information, and then apply the brute-force to those packets.

It is clever that they use the Amazon cloud to provide the computing power to do all this.
