It's true. My mum has Plantar fasciitis, needs to wear heels or her heels feel like someone is stabbing her.
She can't put her heel down completely.

So, she shouldn't get fined, or punished or anything.
If it was illegal for you to wear long sleeved shirts while driving, and you were told you needed to keep your arms covered at all times, because God forbid you had a disease where your arms would melt inside a car!
Police caught you. You have to do comm serv. You do it? Or would you settle for a fine?
Even though, it's a medical reason.

I think you are missing the point.
Her crime wasn't that she was wearing high heels.
The penalty for her failing to stop etc etc etc, has various options available under the law. Things like, community service, fines etc.
She was given community service, then declared she couldn't do that because of high heels, so instead they should have given her one of the other options of penalty, e.g. fine etc No be let off scot free.

Ohhhhhh.
I completely misunderstood.
Yes. She should get some sort of punishment.
Personally, an eye for an eye.
But don't know how that would go down?

Tagging and curfew does seem light, I don't know what she is complaining about! Personally I'd shut up and take it, before they make it custodial! Some people insist on counting the teeth of their gift horses and complaining!
