Comedian Ricky Gervais promised this year he would push the boundaries as he hosted the Golden Globes for a second time.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-12205469Whilst I'm not a huge fan of Ricky, I love to see big stars getting pulled down a peg or two. Unless you sat through that whole show you'd be hard-pushed to know what the general mood was, cos there's certainly a lot of spinning and dramatising going on at the minute, with quotes taken out of context etc  _________________Plain English advice on everything money, purchase and service related:

Seeing as how everyone in the room was being recorded, I'm pretty sure you couldn't judge the honest emotions they were feeling. A lot of them are actors, after all....  I dunno - if the complaints have been rolling in, as suggested, could it be people are starting to wonder just how Ricky Gervais has got where he is? It baffles me.

Personally I'd love to see Ricky brought down many pegs.
Purely for the way he abused a Live 8 sound techie who was just doing his job by performing a sound check. "Well tell a joke or something."
