Malawi is determined to “mould responsible and disciplined citizens” with a law banning the breaking of wind. The Local Courts Bill of 2010 is set to be presented before a forthcoming parliamentary session by Justice Minister George Chaponda. The legislation also targets ne'er-do-wells "disturbing religious assemblies", "trespassing on burial places", "insulting the modesty of a woman" or "challenging to fight a duel", as well as those who pass the time by pretending to be a fortune teller... One unimpressed Malawian reportedly commented: “How can this government criminalise the release of intestinal gases? Everyone does that, even if it’s in public or it has an accompanying sound which is boring; making it criminal is a joke of democracy." http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/01/28 ... gislation/

So does that mean if you are prone to Silent but deadly ones that you are technically guilty of carrying a concealed weapon? I have known some seriously bad offenders who now have to take Malawi off their travel itinerary.

Well then it'll be one place where the maxim 'better out than in' definitely won't hold true.

No more poetry in Malawi.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Let's hope Cameron and Clegg don't get wind of this (pun intended). If they don't ban it, they'll bloody well tax us on it!

far t chance of that happening the whole idea would stink tbh. would that mean whoopee cushions are banned? or will you get hand guffed for that too as it classes as a "fart"? whenever I buy whoopee cushions they break really early, cheaply made and a complete ripoff

So if there's someone there you don't like, give them Bernard Matthews Golden Drummers for their tea, then have them arrested.

I have found broccoli to be highly effective. Though would they and baked beans become proscribed substances?
